2.9 equals an acceleration of 1 cm/s/s. Hardly perceptible to the degree of being labelled 'crazy'.

I'd call it crazy because it pretty much never happens over here, apart from isolated incidents, as we're in the middle of a continental plate away from any active fault lines (well there's a volcanic arc in Indonesia but it's still in no major proximity)
