I hate to stand in judgement, but it strikes me as slightly odd she'd adopt a child with a parent. There must be 1000s of orphans.

The kid is for all intents and purposes an orphan.. Well his mum died during childbirth and his dad gave him up because he doesn't have enough money to raise him..

Any country that allows a twit like Paris to adopt should be invaded under the pretext of propagating child abuse.

That's actually really alarming. I don't really know where I stand morally on this whole celebrity adopting of third world babies thing, but I don't really doubt that Madonna can raise a child competently.

But given how hard it is for many responsible citizens to adopt in many countries, the idea that Paris Hilton would do it kinda appalls me. Is that actually true? It's only a few rungs up the ladder from Courtney Love.

It's an interesting conundrum - is it morally worse for a child to turn out as self-absorbed as Paris Hilton, or to continue their life in African squalor?

Let's hope she's a good mother for the sake of the two she's already had.

yeh i do believe it is true, shes been looking at it because she was impressed what it did for Jolie's imgae. Thats the problem right there, she wasnt to adopt some african kid for her image. From what ive read shes told her friends shes ready to be a mother but doesnt want to go through child birth...

I'd take the African squalor. Nothing's worse than having a celibrity airhead as your mom. Turning out as self absorbed airhead as Paris would be literally the best case scenario.
But far worse fate awaits the odds.

Umm. That quote alone should demonstrate how pathetically NOT ready for motherhood she is. Pain of childbirth is the least of a mother/father's sacrifices for a kid.

C_C at his judgemental best. Oh and please dont try to be an expert on child birth. The pain shouldn't be considered as a sacrifice for the child because they do it by choice and just because someone doesn't want to go through that process doesn't mean she is not ready to adopt.

We actually have two kids and want a 3rd one. If we do decide to have the 3rd child in our family, we certainly are not going for the child birth again.

I can understand trying alternate means after several childbirths but without the idea of complications why would any woman want to slice her stomach open is beyond me.
Caesarian is far more painful, far more recovery time, carries far more risk of infections, etc etc. I know this for a fact- dont ask me how, i dont wanna go into family stuff.

But yes- any woman who would wanna avoid childbirth the natural way simply coz of the 'pain' factor isnt ready to be a mom in my eyes. Nomatter what you say wont change that so dont bother.
In anycase, i meant it with Paris in mind.

Surely with Paris the little tacker would slide straight out no worries.
