I had the same association until I saw (500) Days of Summer. His role was so different in that movie that I was able to disassociate him from 3rd Rock after that.

I watched a Nicole Kidman movie called Invasion yesterday. It was actually really good.

Haha, found Flash Gordon on DVD for $9.99. Thrilled. Such a hilariously awesome movie.

Just came back from watching The Dark Knight Rises for the first time. What an epic film! Loved every bit of it. The only slight criticism, I have (and it's only slight) is regarding Bane's voice, but he was such a gun character, so I forgive Nolan for that.

RIP Tony Scott

The British director of True Romance & younger brother of Ridley dies after leaping from a bridge in LA. From the BBC.

Bloody hell.

Guess he never got over not even being the best director in his family, too soon?

saw the expendables 2 last night

Was exactly the kind of movie you want to watch in a theater.

Non-stop fighting and blasting away

Not usually much of a fan of Ferrell or Galifianakis, but I thought The Campaign was absolutely hilarious.

I was a bit disappointed with it, cause I love both the leads...it was funny in places, but overall I just thought it was too run of the mill. Anchorman and Old School (and The Wedding Crashers, if you count it) still the benchmark for Will Ferrell comedies.
