Cemetery Junction wasn't what I was expecting, but I did quite like it.
The place is better than the film. Mainly because of the kebab shop there (and an absence of Gervais). Fred to confirm.
Wasn't even filmed in cemetery junction, and apparently wasn't even meant to be set there.![]()
The bastard should have pushed in as much Reading as he could, missed opportunity. Although being set in the 70s I'm basically channeling my parents here.
I never actually saw the film tbf, mainly because I despise Gervais in everything other than the office. Having lived next to Cemetry Junction itself, I can also safely say that the place isn't much to shout about either, though it is amusing for sure.
Well its just the little area of housing around the A4 junction isn't it? That's what I'm told at least. There isn't enough there to constitute a blockbuster movie obviously. And i guess a lot of the references of the time were completely lost on me when I watched it. Am probably just disapp'd that he didn't film anywhere I recognised.
Yeah, there's not a lot there really. Well, actually there's a bunch of stuff: A furniture shop, a kebab shop, a large Co-op, a few cafes, a gay bar, and a cemetery - funnily enough. It's just not the kind of place you'd go to unless you wanted to go to one of these establishments or were travelling through really. I gather that burglary is fairly rife in the nearby residential areas, and there certainly wasn't a lack of seedy looking characters hanging around.
was just watching 1408 in my apartment all alone.
****....it scared the crap out of me....can't watch it full alone
And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW
Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
Just finished
Gangs of Wasseypur 2 ,
not as good as the firs instalment, but this surely had its moments too
Anyone watched 'Battleship' ? Started downloading the bluray print just now
Whenever I look at Robin I just see the young kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun. Which is a shame, because he's a pretty gun actor imo.
