It's probably going to be very fashionable for the critics to hate it to be honest.

In truth, I'd be staggered if it is as good as the last film, but tbh, it's one of those films where I don't really give a crap about how good the film is from a purely objective point of view (unless it is really really bad, but let's face it, it surely isn't), I just want to see the conclusion to the epicness. For these reasons I'll probably really like it regardless, whether or not it's a masterpiece of film or whatever.

Saw TDKR, it was awesome. Ending was great and everything comes together nicely. Last 15-20 minutes were money

REVIEW SPOILER

IMO, it isn't. My initial thought, in four words is, "excellent, but too long".

A theme reoccuring with Nolan's work, I understand, but for the entire first hour I was sitting there thinking those words: too long. Has pacing issues.

On the plus side, the second half is excellent, the ending is (IMO) satisfying and provides emotional catharsis for the themes built up throughout. Really, really pleasantly surprised by Selina Kyle/Catwoman, was not expecting that to be done as well as it was.

Good movie, very good movie, but definitely not The Dark Knight quality. Missed the Joker's "presence", let's say.

Awful.

Has rather put me off going to watch it myself. Not because I fear the same fate would await me, but it would leave a rather sour taste in the mouth.

Most reviews have been stellar TBF. There are a handful of negative reviews which have gotten a fair bit of publicity, but its rotten tomato rating is at something like 87%.

Seeing it tonight at the National Science Museum IMAX. Bring it.

Lots of shocking coverage out there, but this article is the one that really got to me: Aspiring Sportscaster Among 12 Killed At Colorado Movie Theater; Last Blog Entry Was First-Person Account Of Eaton Centre Shootings [UPDATE]

Horrifying stuff.

Yep thought it was great. Probably a little below TDK, but nonetheless a very satisfying end. My only major criticism is the audio quality for some of the dialogue, Bane in particular. Had a very hard time understanding a lot of the stuff he was saying. Bizaaaarre accent/voice he had going there too, not exactly sure what Hardy was trying to do with that (sounded kind of like a bad Sean Connery impression). Was quite funny to begin with, but you kind of get used to it's quirkiness as the film goes on, so it didn't bother me much. Other than that though, the movie was pretty tops.
