I guess one big difference to the batman reboot is that the first Batman series didn't tell an origin story. Spiderman did first time round and felt they needed to this time which meant there were bound to be similarities.

That being said I do feel they've presented a better Peter/Spidey this time. More of a smart arse and less of a drip. Love Garfield's Spider-Man and look forwards to seeig him reprise and develop it.

There was a kind of origin story in Batman Forever wasn't there? IIRC it involved Two-Face shooting Bruce Wayne's parents. Or something.

The less said about that the better, probably.

That was in the first, it was The Joker. You got the origin in parts through flashbacks rather than an origin story per se.

What I love about the Nolan Batman movies, is that they're not exactly a superhero movie. They are dramas/thrillers that just happen to have a superhero in there. Absolutely love them. Dark Knight is my 2nd favourite movie of all time.

Thought the first two Spiderman movies were trash itbt and the third is apparently worse. Current Batman movies are pretty good but somewhat overrated too. Will watch the new one anyway.

Yeah I hated the first Spiderman movie. I think I wanted to walk out but I was with people who didn't want to go. Agree re: Batman too. Pretty good films but I much prefer Nolan's other work.

Has Nolan ever done a bad film? Genuinely can't think of one I didn't enjoy.

Saw that the last post in this thread was from Murphy, knew what it would say, came in here to call him a predictable ****. Luckily, it had been handled.

What are your thoughts on that movie that's coming out which is against the legalisation of marijuana?
