On the other side of the spectrum, a natural aptitude to money with green coming to signify money and possibly even *********!

Ted is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. So many huge laughs.

I especially recommend it to anyone who likes the hilarious gloriousness that is Flash Gordon.

Anyone know a good comedy I can 'hire' from the 'video store' to watch while I'm sick? Ted has not been 'released on VHS' yet.

Still not watched In The Loop yet, just can't see it being as good as The Thick of It.

Vue cinemas doing a Dark Knight double bill on Thursday for a fiver. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Have watched both countless times but am still enormously tempted.

And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Have heard it's better than the Tobey Maguire ones. Although that's not difficult IMO.

It is better, but I think you're being harsh on the Maguire ones. The first is pretty good IMO and Spiderman 2 is in my top 5 all-time superhero movies.

I think 3 put a bit of a black mark against the trilogy as a whole which was a great shame. They just tried to cram far too much into it.

This one is great though. Reckon you'd like it, just going off what I've seen you post about superhero movies in the past.

Agree wholeheartedly. Spiderman 1 and 2 with Tobey were great films and can be stacked up against any great superhero movies.

I thought The Amazing Spiderman was a good film on its own, but I was expecting more from a "reboot". I really didn't think it was that much different from Spiderman 1 with Tobey. If they were going to reboot a series so soon, they should've presented a more drastic change from the earlier films IMO. Much like The Dark Knight series. Perhaps it didn't have to be as gritty and "realistic" as TDK, but The Amazing Spiderman should have had its own distinct identity which clearly separated it from the Tobey films. I thought it failed to do that.

Must say, my impressions from the trailers are pretty much in line with Fusion's description. I doubt it's bad at all, but because of the above I cbf to go and see it.
