I watched Warrior yesterday, awesome film imo right up there with Rocky for sports related movies, just like Rocky, even if your not into MMA it's just a brilliant film with exceptional acting, with Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte great as usual and gripping from start to finish a must see.

Warrior was a great film. Hated the ending though.

    Finally got to see Drive.

The month or so of anticipation probably didn't help my impression of it. Had huge expectations, and came away a little disappointed.

It was a great artsy film, and I knew it wasn't an action flick, I was just hoping it would be a little less artsy and a little faster. Would have loved to see a bit more getaway driving for example.

But still, I'd give it a good 7.5-8/10.

Just watched Killer Elite, didn't know anything about it before hand apart from who starred in it and was pleasantly surprised but it was never going to fail with De Niro, Statham and Clive Owen in it. Didn't realise it was based on a true story till the end, which makes it all the more awesome, great story, great acting and **** hot action, what's not to like.

    Nice.

I take it they are films that he has written not directed. Otherwise Insomnia would be there.

Watched RED yesterday. Pretty enjoyable, one of those films that's really about other films.
"Your averages, captain, coaches and players can probably survive incompetence over a relatively short series, so if youíre going to be rubbish, make sure itís against Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand or someone."

Drive may well be one of the best movies I've ever seen, and definitely one of my favourites.

I was thinking about seeing it. I think that tips me over the edge, Nath.

Can't believe how good the soundtrack was. Will be the first I ever purchase.

Seen it twice at the movies; hilarious and didn't disappoint.

    The Quiet

Wow. Where do I start? (there may be a spoiler or two here, but I hope you won't waste your time watching this, so it shouldn't matter)

    * Horrendously written. The voiceover contained such gems as "when there's one other person in the room, I feel like half of myself; when there are two other people in the room, I feel like a third of myself; when there are three other people in the room, I feel like a quarter of myself." At this point, I was, like, "Where is she going with this?". I wondered if it would get to the point of "when there are 27 other people in the room..."

    * Why is a deaf and mute character providing voiceover, anyway? And why is she familiar enough with the works of Beethoven to analyse them?

    * Implausible twist surrounding said deafness - she'd just been pretending to be deaf since she was 7 years old. About a decade of fake deafness with no slip-ups and no one suspecting a thing? Really?

    * The most badly acted sex scene I have ever seen. Hilariously bad.

    * Dumb dialogue. "Your mother was a slutty slut."

    * Sudden change in direction from just bad to both bad and disturbing - about when the incest rape started.

What were they thinking? Why the **** did Edie Falco agree to be in this festering monstrosity?
