Kick Ass

Not sure if it's been brought up (and sincerely cbf to check) but this movie is beautiful, in between the somewhat fresh message, the interspersal of truly brutal violence and nerdy bon mots, and the delusion that you, the proverbial dork, can one day aspire to a decent set of sweater puppies.

Gets the nod from me.

Haha, I was just about to post about Kickass. I thought it was pretty good when I saw it a month or two ago, it was funny but it involves a good storyline and a message aswell, some of the action scenes are decent to. Although getting an 11 year old actress to say ever swear word in the book probably isn't the smartest idea..

Also, I can never get tired of watching step brothers.

That's the main selling point some of my friends have been giving me about the movie.

Well I found her parts quite funny even though she is kind of annoying in the movie, but I mean I'm not sure what it's rated but if some kids see the movie than they repeat some of the parts.

Can't be, or it isn't in Australia. Because when I went to a movie marathon last month, most of the movies were all MA and I'm 15 at the moment so I had to show ID to get inside. If it was R, I wouldn't of been able to see it, shouldn't be rated R18 either tbh.

18 in NZ, Canada, R in the US, R15 in the UK
MA in Australia.

The only country not to give it a restricted rating.

Saw Harry Brown just now. Decent movie all up, I suppose; helped majorly by the fact that Michael Caine is ****ing awesome. The scenes of the council estate definitely solidified my dislike of most things English though.

Fair enough, didn't know there was thing called R15 in the UK either.

I don't think the movie should be an R18 to be honest, do you guys?

Defo should be R18.

My mum's partner is a projectionist at the local cinema. He thought it was a kids movie and was playing the trailer at the start of all the kids movies over the holidays. A couple of days before it was due to be released they had to pull it after finding out it was R18. Anyways, we acquired the movie by other means and as we were watching it there was lots of nodding from him, "yep, definitely R18".

Kick Ass was awesome. Think the 15 rating is fair enough, an 18 a bit extreme for me.
