The sex scene between the two main stars, on the other hand, was IMO really well done. I usually find scenes like that a bit gratuitous, but I thought it was one of the standout scenes of this movie.

I saw it last night after your rating. It was a good film, but I am not as generous as you. It was novel in a way but nothing to shake your core. The film's music was brilliant though. I love the "Yumeji's theme", I believe it's called.
