Seen Harry Potter earlier, was pretty good although they left large parts of the book out which was a little disapointing. 7.5/10 for me.
    Where's my money?

Yeah I expect that. Running time's a bit shorter than it ought to be but should be good all the same I expect.

Saw a Scanner Darkly last night.

I didn't like it. Reminded me of some drug-ridden torture I'd been through. Plus I was drunk an fell asleep after about 70 minutes, only to wake up for the last five.

Thought it was a decent idea though (for the plot) though I didn't like the 'graphic art' style. Didn't pull it off as well as Sin City.

    Well its a huge book.
So you have to expect some parts to be missing.
But I still think the third movie was a sham.
Its not that big a book and it was completely rushed.

Can't go again. Sold out a few hours before show time. People I was to go with got tickets though so not sure I'll spend money to see it alone. Maybe I can round up a few others......

Great film. Really heartbreaking ending too, without ruining it for anyone who hasn't seen it.

lately; seen Ocean's 13, Harry potter, Shrek 3 and Die hard 4

thought they were all pretty good...loved the action in die hard...really thought it had that wow factor, if u get what i mean.

Ocean's 13 was slick...not as good as the first one but a HUGE improvement on the second.

Shrek 3: was o.k TBh.....but thought it was a bit too babyish this time..dunno...didnt really laugh that much this time TBH.

Hmm, i cant decide if i want to watch Die Hard or not.

Sure, action film, leave the brain at the door and enjoy the big explosions. But its Die Hard, its the greatest action film ever (or at least the original was), the idea wasnt to check the brain in and watch the bangs, it was a case of follow the plot, watch the characters entwine, follow the have a go hero use his brains and courage and whatever he could get his hands on to kick 7 bells outta Hans and his men.

Eg: Film 1: The bangs came from stuff he could get his hands from off the terrorists, eg C4, Rocket launcher. Film 2 they came from plane crashes. Both can pass as believable. Watching the trailer on this, its stuff like taking out a plane (or is it a truck) with a helicopter.... WTF? Did he just happen to master the principles of helicopter flight (and target practise) one afternoon?

The point i'm making is, Die Hard films wernt about big bangs for the sake of it, and nice CGI work, they didnt need it when the script could hold its own. 4 looks like its gone down the same road as many action films today, and i dont think i can stomach it

It's one of those 'Yes! They finally did it!' kinda endings combined with a twist to make you go faark.
