Watched a few movies this week:
American Splendor - enjoyable, better than expected. Paul Giamatti is an excellent actor.
Collatoral - Entertaining, Cruise was good, didn't really grab my attention though.
Still yet to watch a movie I didn't enjoy.
I think the fact that Cruise didn't grab your attention says it all about what a refreshing change his performance was in Collateral. He wasn't playing the kid from Risky Business grown up like he normally does...

The Exorcist- seen it before but a great great film
Twelve Monkeys - another very good if rather confusing film
Sorry, I meant the movie as a whole. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't on the edge of my seat whilst watching it.Originally Posted by Matt79
Forgot to mention I also saw Talledaga Nights(sp). Found it very funny, as I find everything with Will Ferrell is. John C. Reilly was very good.
thank you for smoking was a pretty cool movie....slick dialogues, very well acted and basically knocks everyone from big business to politics to the movie business....![]()
Haven't seen it.Originally Posted by Matteh

One of the best small budget ones ...
Kenny. Gun flick, the man's dripping with one-liners.

Saw World Trade Centre.
Look, when I saw the preview I was a mess, it was so emotional...
I thought the movie was going to be a gut-wrencher, geared myself up and eased up on the mascara, but it was pretty crap, tbh.

I just now watched Munich on DVD. Very well done - great performances by the cast as whole, but particularly by Eric Bana and Geoffrey Rush. I thought Speilberg did a very good job of depicting the fact that both sides of the conflict feel they are in the right, yet both end up doing quite awful things. Certainly made me think during it, and I suspect over the coming days. 9/10 for me.
Watched that last night as well. One of the best films i've seen.Originally Posted by Matt79
