    yes, i would say it's one of hackman's best too...a few really unforgettable scenes in that movie...had some expectations with those two in it but the movie exceeded expectations....

    It's Bale's acting that does it for me. It's easy to slag it off as almost wooden, but if you look carefully there's tonnes of subtle things in there which end making him play the part really well.

    I watched The Mask for the millionth time last night. Jim Carrey's a hilarious bloke, born to do comedy. Also just watched Footloose, Kevin Bacon's a gun.

    Y tu mamá también and The Departed, first one is ace and the latter was pretty good. Not classic Scorsese but probably the best work he has done since Casino.
