    Like Dani California?

Perhaps it's because you have heard it before ...

RHCP ripped off themselves more than anyone else with that song. It sounds like everything off their By The Way album, with a bit of Californication in the mix.
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

I believe the response you're looking for is 'no'.

Tone deaf is not an excuse for ignorance.

Same here, but Stadium Arcadiun's disappointing for me, there's some good stuff on there but nothing really new.

RHCP were a quality band a while back. Everything since and including Californication has been trash.

Yeh,they totaly sold out. The only point to RHCP is to make money now, they're not doing anything worth listening to twice, they're not progressing musicaly, it's just one 3 minute pop song after another.

That's pretty damning evidence of a song rip-off. Enough for court, too if Tom Petty were so inclined.

I though it sounded like Blur's Country House, too.

Since I'm too lazy to download it (and also because Telecom's broadband caps are so ridiculously small, every MB is precious), could someone tell me what song it is? Last Dance With Mary Jane?

Elvis' Blue Suede Shoes is an exact rip-off of track 5 on my 1953 Christmas album 'Karols for the Kids'.
