    Abu Musab al-Zarqawi Dead

    http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117...64-401,00.html

With all of the conspiracy theories floating around, my first thought upon reading this is that it was a likely to be a hoax or incorrect! Sad, really.

Good stuff. That made my day. He is probably already in hell and the world is a slightly safer place with him not in it.

I will wait until it is confirmed.

If he is then it is big big blow for Al Qaeda. All you need is Osama...

$33m bounty on his head - not a bad pay day!

Your day was made because someone got killed?

Have you looked at the price of a barrel of crude nougat lately?
'Copperfield,' said Mr. Micawber, 'farewell! Every happiness and prosperity! If, in the progress of revolving years, I could persuade myself that my blighted destiny had been a warning to you, I should feel that I had not occupied another man's place in existence altogether in vain.

As a footnote, it's not really a blow against Al Qaeda at all, because this 'Al Qaeda in Iraq' label really is confusing.

He was a very successful local thug who took advantage of instability to encourage insurrection and insurgency (probably for his own ends rather than any ideological reasons), whereas Al Qaeda proper are the terrorist equivalent of a multinational corporation.

Since he's an evil person, shouldn't it be a $33m Kit Kat?

Beware the evils of Kit-Kats - they're immoral apparently.
