Moussaoui spared

Looks like AL-QAEDA plotter Zacarias Moussaoui will be spared of the death penalty.

Good decision IMO. Not so much whether or not I don't support the death penalty but because this is the opposite of what he would have wanted (as in being executed) and now he can rot for the rest of his days thinking about what he has done and this way he will not be a martyr.

Yeah but he is rotting on taxpayers money...

In this case, where Islam extremeists are concerned and with the notion of him being a martyr... keep the sucker alive imo.

Good call. The death penalty is wrong. It solves nothing, and lowers the state to the same level as the criminal.

Let the ******* congeal in jail. I'm sure he'll get plenty of "unofficial justice" on the inside.

Still costs a far bit keeping him alive until his execution in about 25 years time (unless he was quickly taken out the back and shot).

This is wonderful news. The ******* should be left to rot and decay in jail and ponder what he's done. Really, there should be a separate jail with terrible treatment and very low financial help for the people who get life penalties. Otherwise, they're not even suffering that much and using up valuable money.

On his way out, he taunted "You lost America." Well Moussaoui, you can go sit in your jail cell telling yourself that. Cheers.

I am not a fan of the Death Penalty in general, but 911 is different. The sooner he dies, the sooner he can burn in hell.

He'll probably be segregated for safety's sake, but I'm pretty sure indefinite solitary confinement is illegal.

I suppose it's a comfort if you believe in that sort of thing.

So it should be.

Any instance where a human being might die and they do not is a good thing. Doesn't really matter to me whether he wanted to die or not.

Put David Blaine in with him then.

Or is that going too far?
