Fardin Donations

I'm sure you've all read through the RIP Fardin thread.. After this tragedy, the last thing Fardin's family needs it to be slugged by huge bills..

To make things a little bit easier for them, we've started a PayPal donations fund..

All you need is a credit card or even a bank account if you have a PayPal account..

Just go the the following page and click the "Make a Donation" button. No amount is too small..

I've also been in contact with a close family friend of Fardin's and have discussed the transfer of the money. Everything is pretty much sorted, all we need now are more donations..

Just head down to: http://www.users.on.net/~shounak/

Thanks people

The current balance of the fund is USD$673.35. We should look to get this well over a grand..

I'll keep the balance updated..

P.S. Mods, can you please make this a sticky for at least a few weeks, this is what they've done on PC..

Really Good Work Shounak. Just out of curiosity, is that total from CW contributions ?

Anyways, I am just so proud to be a part of this forum.

CW contributions made up a fair bit of it..

The bulk of the $673 though came from a USD$500 donation.. Very, very generous..

I didn't recognise the name, so I'm guessing it came from PC..

We're doing really well. At the moment, it's not only $673 that their family would not other have had. It's also knowing that so many people knew and cared about their son. That's something money just can't buy..

So a big thank you to everyone who's made a donation so far..

Same thoughts here. It's really great that we've all come together at this time to support the family of someone who touched our lives so dearly. We need to make them feel like they're not alone. Keep up the good work guys, especially Shounak.

Well done Shounak, great work mate. I've just finally managed to fix my PayPal account and make a donation.

Well done to you too then. I've really been impressed with the way people have come forward in a forum like this. One would think that an internet forum wouldn't have much substance, but clearly this place is special because of people like Fardin and now everyone else who has stepped up over the past few days. Quite a close-knit community we've got here, I must say.

Surely, Fardin is smiling down upon all of us right now.

I have to sort a few things out before I can make a donation. I will asap though. Hopefully we can get that total as high as possible and help the family out.
