The first video/computer games you played??

I think mine was either Paranoid or Dangerous Dave...

The amazing thing is that, I still love those games!

My Granny had one of those early video games systems that were integrated into the TV set. IT was a very simple 1 or 2 player pong tennis game.

It blew our minds when we first played it!!! We were so amazed at the technology that we thought to ourselves that things will not get any more hi-tech than this :wow: :O

Electronic ping pong, circa 1970 in the pub.

First game on a computer was 'sheepdog' on the 8K Commodore Pet in 197 something or other, followed closely by 'Petopoly'.

A few years later, the explosion of 'proper' Space Invaders type games happened, led by the wonderful Taito company (1978 if I remember correctly).

In the early 1980's we had Galaxian and Moon Cresta (both of which I was - and still am - absolutely brilliant at) and then development of any interesting computer games whatsoever for pubs and arcades stopped, never to be seen again.

Greatest game ever for the Amiga : Gobblers.

(I used to work with Steve (?) Williams, the author).

I eventually bought his Amiga 500 and shoved an extra 2 meg of ram in it.

Still play Lemmings on it occasionally!

I think the first game i played was something called a tv game. Table tennis was one of the games on it, two straight lines for rackets and ball was a square shape moving back and forth.

My Commodore 64 though was my biggest asset in those days Some of the games that I remember were, Blue Max, PitstopII, Buggy Boy, Skate or Die, 720 degrees, pretty awesome really. I once downloaded a commodore 64 emulator recently but it didnt work

I had an Atari 2600 with games such as Space Invaders, Breakout etc.

In milk bars we used to play Galaxian, Galaga, Tutankhamen, Frogger and other games of that vintage. You don't see games like that anymore.:frog::frog::frog:
