Using the freezer to help jelly set faster

I think it's unethical, and against the spirit of making jelly. However, others will disagree and prefer to make a joke out of an art.

Thoughts?.

Two very different--yet equally important-- issues, Natman.

And Nibbs, it is a very good question you raise. Personally, I would say it is undeed unethical, because not only is it, as you said, making a mockery out of the art of jelly-manufacturing, but you also run the risk of leaving the jelly in for too long and having it freeze. That said, can you have frozen jelly?

You can have frozen vodka jelly, i know that.

Yes, we tried to cheat once. I'm ashamed of it now. But all we wanted was a little vodka jelly that night, what can a young boy do? So we made it, and put it in the [sniff] freezer, thinking we'd come back [sniff, sniff] in an hour.

But then we opened the [splutter] vodka, got drunk and [full on bawling eyes out now] forgot all about it..........

sorry about that, got a little bit emotional there, its hard for me to discuss such a dark moment of my life, its something i look back on with deep regret.

Anyway we found it the next morning. Poor little thing was frozen solid. It never stood a chance.
