    What's your favourite train?

    Further to a particularly interesting MSN conversation I had tonight, I feel it's time for CW to have its own favourite trains thread.

    I'll get us started with what at present is my own personal favourite, the BR Class 159 - shown here in South West Trains livery.



    A special mention for the Class 142, an example of which is shown here at Ashton-under-Lyne station, for being surely the only train on record to derail (on the Carlisle to Whitehaven line, in 2002) when its engine fell off the chassis...

    as you said earlier neil, those are much nicer on the eye that the truly 143, eye candy it aint.

    well...I reckon its about the inside of a train...(outside is nice but not as important!)
    so I go for the Heathrow express! which looks like this inside


    and the dutch trains are quiet nice too

    I don't have a favourite to be honest, as long as I get there on time and I'm in no danger.

    The interior of the trains around are average and nothing special.

    Wow, what a thread!

    Personally, I enjoy riding on an old Melbourne tram more than our train system, but trains are much more efficient.

    Can't go past the W Class tram for mine.
