Favourite comedians

There's plenty of funny people around at the moment - who really makes you laugh?

Personally I can't get enough of Ross Noble, he's awesome. And I bought the DVD of Eddie Izzard's "Dress To Kill" show live in San Francisco a while back, that's the funniest show I've seen. Dylan Moran and Dara O'Briain are both very funny, and Jack Dee was fantastic on BBC1 the other night. The guy from Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Bill something (can't remember his surname) is really underrated as well.

Jack Dee, by miles. And yea he was fantastic on BBC1 the other night, I usually turn over when the guest comes on but thankfully he was doing the whole program.

If we can include dead people, Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks easily. Both absolute geniuses.

If we can't, I don't know.

Yeah, he's excellent - although to know how funny he really is you have to listen to his radio show on Radio 4. A mate played it to me and it's hilarious - have you heard it?

Yeah it is actually, as is the music scene, very healthy indeed..

There is some really good satirical standup which you have to go and see if it comes to the UK again (doesnt make English tele).. Look out for "There's a Zulu on my stoep" I think it's by Pieter Dirk Uys..

But for talented musicians and funnymen, the UK surpasses everyone I think..

I think he might be between series at the moment, but he plays a clueless posh student called Giles Wemmbley-Hogg, who keeps getting dragged around the world on trips with the rugby team etc, but doesn't cotton on to the fact that no-one likes him. It's very good.
