    Softwares you recommend for use

As far as I am concerned:

Firefox - awesome due to the enhancements/plug ins
Picassa - Good photo management software
MSN Messneger - neat and organised messaging
Zone Alarm - great spyware/ad ware blocker

Add more to the list please.

Google Earth - Download the viewing software, simply brilliant, awesome detailed coverage in S.Africa
Firefox - No ads, rubbish, tabbed browsing! A revelation!
    MSN Messenger - The biz
WINAMP - So quick to load, easy to use, and stylish
Adobe Photoshop CS 9 - The father
RedAxe CricketStatz - Awesome stats tracking software for cricket clubs

I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

For iPod users, PodUtil is awesome. Easy way to transfer songs from someone else's iPod to your computer

GNU/Linux Debian Sarge running GNOME WM. Fluxbox is the best of the minimalist WM's.

    Open Office 2.0

    Firefox or Epiphany

GaIM (IM software which supports most protocols)

    K3b for burning CD's/DVD's.

Cubase SVT with Amplitube plugins or Cakewalk for multi-track recording. Pro Tools is the best but not all of us have the time to do the course in how to use the damn thing!

    Apache for web server.
    The Colourphonics

    Bandcamp
    Twitderp

Opera's the best browser IMO.. The mouse functions and navigability is the equivalent of driving a Rolls Royce..

I use FireFox for the few sites that Opera can't handle.. Like NetBanking and stuff..
