The main problem is that this post was put up while a lot of posters were following the Ashes thread, and hardly anyone was at off-topic.
I read it quickly though - a sad story, and I went to wikipedia, and off the article about this guy was a related link about a newsreader that killed herself on air. Actually, that was even sadder. I was going to say that Dwyer comparing himself to a modern-day Job was a bit over the top, but then I realised what a strange thing that would be to say given what he did next...
