Are you a winner or a loser?

I was just thinking, as my last season of cricket dawns upon me, that I have only lost 3 games of cricket in the past 5 years at college and one of those was a rep game (Wellington v.s. Manawatu). And the two years previous to that I was undefeated.

So I ask, when you play sport do you generally win or lose most of your games?

I was pretty successful at comp squash when I played (and captained), and I still have all the pennants buried somewhere. As a cricketer, I was a fairly crap (IMO - I was a bowler at heart with very little talent, but some thought I could bat a bit), and the results of the teams I played in were mixed.

VERY ordinary football player, and we had our a$$ kicked game after game at school.

50/50, played in grand finals the last two years after finishing the regular season in 2nd both times, but lost both of them. Ive always played in good sides but only twice won the premiership.

Same was when i played footie, always finished mid table, had a couple of good years where we made the semis but generally were just a bit behind the top teams...

It depends what sport.

Last soccer season we were undefeated (I had one goal scored on me the whole season [just cause the other teams sucked])

Last cricket season we won about three games, but the one beforehand we were undefeated until the grand final, which we lost.

Cricket - Win - Premiers last year winning 8 straight before losing the 9th and final game of the season
Rugby - Lose - 0 out of 7 but 2 we definitely should have won, weren't the worst team in the comp either
Aussie Rules - Mixed - Won 2 out of 4, very short competition in which we lost the semifinal by 2 points

Winner as part of a team but a choking team on few occasions. Various sports.

It's the taking part that counts.

A choking team like when, say... the number three batsman stands on his own wicket during the County Cup Quarter Final?
