    Icon4 Virus or what is this?Help!

    yesterday there was a cross sign in the taskbar which highlighted This compouter is infected.wat does this mean?and plz if anyone uses PC-CILLIN give me the Serial number because I have lost the serial number.

    That said I won't close the thread. If you give the name of the virus, I'll tell you how to manually remove it without an AV program. Better yet, use the best anti-virus program ever invented, Unix.

    My dad raves about Unix's 'anti-virus' program... But yeah, way more secure that windows....

    Wonder if you can help me with this. I've got all this spyware on my computer. I've got a fully registered version of AdAware, it appears to remove all the spyware. Even when I do a full system scan and sweep, but it always comes back. It changes my IE homepage and makes lots of sites come up with errors.

    It always reinstalls by the time I reboot, sometimes earlier. The one that keeps popping up, and keeps getting removed is VX2, I got a special AdAware add on. But it says that VX2 doesn't exist on the system, when the search finds it.

    Go figure? Any idea?
