i have ties with yorks, but i wouldnt say i preffered either of them to each other really.
Derbyshire is miles better then both. I was in the peak district this week staying in bakewell an excellent place it is too
oh yeah, Derbyshire rules, but that wasn't in the question.. I do like it up there, particularly Derby and Buxton

York the city is a very nice place from what i remember i cant really comment on Lancashire as i have only been too Manchester and that was only round the old trafford area
Well obviously i'm gonna go for Lancs (even though i'm a cheshire man meself).... really though, on non cricketing terms not much to choose.... i mean lancs has Manchester and Liverpool to Yorks Leeds and sheffield (all great nights out), theres the quainter side to both (going towards cumbria, or the moors etc).....
Basically anything north of Birmingham is fine for me :P
