hmm, interesting point. one that has been made by many of the last couple of years....its true, as ppl use the word 'gay' as a derogatory term, therefore suggesting that being 'gay' aka homosexual is a negative thing as well. however, when this word was first used, it was probably associated with gay men, but now, the term is used so often to mean 'bad' that it isnt as common to compare it with gay men. nevertheless, gay is also used to describe homosexual men, but then, 'sick' is used to describe something really great, but is also used to describe food regurgitated from ur stomach, but that doesnt mean ppl associate 'sick' with either greatness or half eaten carrot.
in my opinion, if ppl want to use the word, then that's their choice, after all, we all use the word 'cool' to describe something good, when in fact its a temperature description, so let them be. if u dont like using it then dont, but allow others their freedom of speach and expression, just as vic has allowed u to post this thread.
