Yup, try Amazon - they have an omnibus titled "The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy", which would be better than a set of books IMO. Atleast, that's what I've got.

Set of books is nice for a collection (I've got copies of the first three dating back to the 80s, and love them), but the omnibus is much more practical.

    Anyway, good choice, great books.

I was in Borders the other day, they had a copy of the 4 part trilogy, but not all 5 parts.... however they did sell all 5 parts seperatly, all printed in the same format (so it looks all pretty and neat on your bookshelf )

It's a little-known fact that the total number of letters in the five books added together total 3111696 - and that is 42 raised to the power 4.

Spectacular coincidence or a blatant fib?

    No, the absolute truth.

3111696 is definitely 42 raised to the power 4 - try it.

Wasn't doubting your mathematical prowess! I just meant that it seems unlikely Adams did it deliberately.
