    I'm no music fan but it is a loss for what he had achieved in his career. Four grammy's is a good effort.

    Sorry to hear about that - I think he'd been out of commission for a while as a result of a stroke.

    I'd have to say that Vandross was always a little tacky for me. And he inspired a legion of terrible lotharioesque popular R&B acts that the genre is only just recovering from. Had a nice voice though.
