    Digital Camera

Im looking to buy a digital camera soon and need some advice. Ive been told by a friend that its more important to spend your money on the lens than the body. The camera will be for surfing pics so i need alot of zoom in, could anybody reccommend brands, lens ect.

    Fuji Finepix S5000Z

Does the job for me, costs 200 and delivers what I want.. Do a forum search for "Langeveldt's English season photos" in cricket chat if you want to see the results..

I've got a 2X raynox teleconvertor which fits easily with the supplied adaptors onto my camera

Yup i'm a new one like you too and was given the same advice of spending on more on lens than anything else. I've bought Kodak DX6490 few months back and i've been satisfied with it. Still having trouble with low light and night photography but its got more to do with me not having tripod and being too lazy to try out than anything else. Here is my photopage of the pics i took with that camera. Only tennis pics on that right now

    *bump*

Been looking to buy a digital camera myself. I saw a gun Canon one at the local Best Buy. How do people (especially Hingston) rate Canon over, say, Kodak. The one I was looking at has the following specs: 8MP, 3264x2448, 12x Opt, 4x Dig, 32MB Removable Flash Memory.

I'm pretty sure that's one of those things you buy from Club X to get a bone.

Also, does it matter what kind of memory stick I buy for my camera?
