I'm on the left, parties on the left overall suit my views better than those on the right. Having said that, Labour's budget this year didn't impress me very much. But there's no way I'd vote National, I hate their policies.

I'm a lefty. Not quite a raging commie since I'm not quite anti-capitalist and fall more in line with pro-growth leftist economic theorists like Paul Krugman than Noam Chomsky, but I'm a member of the ALP, support democratic capitalism with a healthy public sector and government control of vital services, and don't think much of the Liberals as a whole.
Socially very liberal indeed.

For most of my life I've been a floater, taking bits and pieces of everything to make my own views. In the main I am an environmentalist, but some of the Greens' policies are just ridiculous, and while I hate John Howard and most of the liberal members, I don't mind some of their policies, but I would much prefer a Labor Governement.

Economically quite left (I'm actually a card-carrying trades unionist) & socially liberal. As long as it's between consenting adults & doesn't infringe on anyone else's prima facie rights, then it's ok in my book.
Interestingly (or perhaps not) I do lose lefty points by being a fan of the rope, but there's already a thread where I've outlined my reasons at quite painful length!
