    Fever Dog

It's a local band that is excellent live, posing a musical styling more of a vintage variety. I enjoy the music, and have attached a sample track - the current radio single.

I'd like to hear what the thoughts of others are with regards to the band. I'll be producing the music video for them within the next month.

I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

Cant say I like the song too much man.

The singers job is to sing, and he doesn't do that too well.

    That was my turn off.

The lead singer has an excellent voice though. The style is vintage, but I assure you that it is still singing.

Why'd you even bother spending time on it?

    Less ignorance Gareth.

Simply because a song is not pop and mainstream enough to show up on your radar, alongside your beloved Britney and the supremely talent 50 Cent, does not make it disposable. When you actually decide to listen to the band's music at all before making half-arsed judgements, I shall value you opinion.

You're such a child Gareth. At least you're proving your ignorance for all to see. That is all.

To everyone else who may stumble into this thread, please give the band a chance and to KennyD, understand that those vocals are a distinct and recognized style.

    Not my cup of tea.

But that doesn't mean it's bad. I didn't find any glitches in the singer.

For a first listen I was actually quite impressed. The singer has obviously listened to a lot of Percy Plant, but there's not too much wrong with that. A nice, taut muscular, insistant guitar riff (put me in mind a little of Reef or early Soundgarden), but I thought the solo was a bit unnecessary; less is sometimes more. The bass is a little low in the mix too, but not too shabby all in all. A bit derivative, but def potential there.

Gotta say I wouldn't have pegged them as a Trinadadian band tho. Assuming they are, of course!

They're far from shoddy, I quite like their sound actually.

The vocals are just a little older style than the cleaner cut stuff that is going around commercially, definitely worth watching to see how it progresses. Though I do agree with Mr Brumby, the drums appear to be doing the bass work which I'm not sure if it works as well as it could.

They were on the scene for about 6 months last year and then placed second in one of the biggest music competitions in the country- Pop/Rock. They then retired in December of last year due to some internal issues, but are ready to re-emerge in a couple of weeks. Massive anticipation. They're playing a show alongside the biggest band in the country - the Orange Sky - which has an international recording contract I believe. That says volumes for how much they are respected.

Boy Brumby, I agree regarding the bass. I noticed that myself when I first heard it.

I dont like the raspy screamy style he uses, I like more of a pure voice.

Fair enough, but it takes amazing range and talent to pull off that style.
