Metric System for America?

I've always wondered why America doesn't convert their entire system of measurement into metric. I think they're the only country other than Liberia and Burma who use the old method of measurement.

I think it'll be great for their business sector and their educational system if metric is introduced.

A site that campaigns for the metric system to be put into place is:

http://www.metric4us.com/

What do you all think?

Metric for the USA?

Isn't us already the best in both ?

Anyways, I guess it is basically being comfortable with units. I am familiar with both the systems and and dont understand all the fuss about it. I dont think metric system has any effect on Business or education system.

I've heard that manufacturers and other business' have difficulty exporting and importing to the entire world due to the confusion in units. The whole activity of conversion of units takes quite a bit of time, and I'm sure the rate of business efficiency and productivity could be increased by getting rid of the entire cycle of conversion if America adopted the metric system.

It just makes our world a little easier, and as you pointed out the economic superpower of the world a little more accessible.

So ?? First you want americans to spell like the english, then you would want us to speak (pronounce) like them as well.

By the way I would like to ask my aussie friends how do they spell the word 'Labour' ?

Wash your mouth out with soup & water, young lady! We must cherish the letter "u" & fight the evil capitalist Yankee plot to eradicate it.

The imperial system rules tho. It's only a short step from using the metric system to actually being French & then I'm afraid I'll have to call a policeman!
