    It's an English word - it doesn't need to translate as anything. Derivation from Latin piscis (fish) - same as the star sign Pisces.

    Definitely is a French word, as has been mentioned it means swimming pool. I learnt that in French in my first day of High School. It was a dialogue the teacher read out, something like:

    Ou est Philipe?
    a la piscine!
