Hi there everybody, Gurin here, posting from Italy, which explains why I'll probably say some absurdities from time to time. I admit that I'm not very know knowledgeable about cricket.

That said, I'm already stopping some of you: I know that my avatar is a baseball player. Do I like baseball? Not really. Do I like that picture? A lot. Why? Human mind could be irrational sometime, for example forcing us to prefer Fawad Alam to Umar Akmal, or letting us to talk about pakistani batsmen and baseball in a presentation post. But that's how life is; cheers everybody
Welcome to CW. Are you ethnically Italian or from a cricket playing nation?

No no, I'm italian, born and bred here, although my ancestors were originally from eastern europe (still nothing remotely close to a cricket playing nation)

It depends on what exactly your definition of "mean" is. If, as in 99% of the commonwealth, it involves yogurth or some kind of jam-like sweet ragu, then no, I'm sorry

Of all the cricketers in the world you are only aware of Pakistani batsmen?

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

Actually, we already had on this topic.

in between seasons - focus on fitness

I was stunned to discover he's from the same city where I started to play, playing for the club I debuted against!

I got involved with the game during the 2003 WC, was playing rugby at the time and because of teammates' interest I started to follow some game; then, in 2008 I began to work in Prague and I wanted to continue to play some sport, but rugby et american football would have been too dangerous so I decided to give cricket a try. Of course, while during my entire rugby/AF career I've never been injured (a miracle) during my first cricketing year I've been hit to the head twice; still, since then I become addicted to the game.

Brain injury and addiction are often linked
