It seems you write a better standard of English than a lot of Poms on here of an older age. No exaggerated overuse of the hyphen, for example.

Not happy about being referred to as "older" either. Might remind you that the difference between me and our Fijian friend is smaller than that between myself and yourself.

My standard of English is excellent BTW, hyphens just make it look better to my eyes and worse to yours.

How old are you then? I thought you were 22/23. He's 13. Makes the actual age difference about the same, whilst the difference in implied maturity 13 ---> 22/23 is much greater generally speaking than the difference between 22/23 ---> 32/33

Hyphens are okay by the way, I was just making one of those nudgy-nudgy jokes, as I'm sure you're aware as someone with your excellent standard of English.

Ooooh. I'm not as old as 36, 'young' fella. Heath Davis is 36-ish. I'm not quite that old. The difference between yourself and Fiji-bati and yourself and myself is similar. Unless you are actually 19 as it sounds like you have a penchant for pretending to be.

Why should anyone be safe from either? Still, I prefer a cheap Carry On style gag to a snide remark.
