Literature? Music? or Film?

many would say that music, literature and film are all types of art within their own rights. however which one would you choose if you had to take one and abandon one for all eternity, which is your personal favourite or could you not live without? which is the most influential?

i personally believe that literature is the highest form of art out of these three, although music follows shortly after i belive that literature is the most influential and that it is the one thing from this list that we cannot be without. It is a far more valuable material than eother of teh other two imo,

your opinions please, and also please state your reasons,

For me it is film.

It is full of music, literature and visual art. Film is such a high degree of art.

Film wins without contest for me though music die hard fans like Langeveldt will disagree.

as would i, i belive much more can be discovered by reading and losing yourself in a book rather than by listening to music or watching a film, although i can interact with high quality of any of the three quite happily.

i disagree, it cannot fulfill the same capacity as literature any way near as well, kills your imagination for one, what is your argument for such a claim ?

music i reckon, although i would say that music and literature are evenly matched, you will be useless at creating either if you do not have a great deal of skill, film on the other hand......well you see the trash that is getting turned out in the cinema these days,.....

i would be inclined to agree with you there, that is skill you cannot manufacture by practice, you either have it or you do not, unlike the other too you can be totally naturaly gifted at writing, whereas the other two you cannot
