Yeah I would love to get some info too.

    Is Nokia communicator the best?

I think I will buy a PDA after exam ends on 24th.

hi guys. i actually work in the mobile phone industry and pda's are a waste of time unless u are a businessman who spends a lot of time on the go. They really are quite expensive.

The O2 is probably the most popular PDA in the last two stores that I have worked in and offers you enough synchronisation.

Any more questions about PDA's sell them here and if you're a sydney guy let me know cos I will try to do all CW members a good deal on mobile phone products.

Hey Slats, I was working with a guy who wasn't into PDAs or computers (he was actually a bit of a stoner), but he was dead-set on getting one. Apparently they're pretty useful in cars.

Apart from that, a waste of money for what you get in my opinion.

If you want something that's useful in cars, ur best bet is a blue tooth. They're probably the latest "big" accessory in mobile phone land. At the moment I think the design's a bit big but i believe in the future u'll just be able to get a tiny little bud for ur ear which does the same job.

So PDA's aren't neccesarily better than any other phone in the car...

Age Mobile Phones, like it or not are becoming the tool of the future. As far as a waste of money go in many phones u get a digital camera (1.3 mega pixels), video camera (up to 60 minutes of recording time), personal organiser, games, mp3 players, an instrument for communication, a data transfer machine and hand held internet. All rolled into a price of either about 700 bucks or on a plan of 30 a month.

    Hardly a waste of money

u mean as in GPS technology?

Yeah some of them have the capabilities for that now. but if u wait around 6 months most top of the line normal mobiles will have that to so u'd be wasting money now

Nah, something to do with hooking it up to the car and regulating the engine.

My sister has some O2 PDA. I've played around with it a few times, you can surf the net and go on MSN. Bloody annoying to navigate though, otherwise the camera's awesome, etc., it's pretty cool but I would never find a reason to use it..
