Best Moment of 2005 so far....ANYTHING.
Hey whats has been the highlight of your year...Has it been Chelsea beating Barcelona progressing to the 1/4 stage then knocking out Munich...Maybe the Camilla..Charles wedding...Or even the time when the SA lossed in the test but won in the one dayers against England......

Pietersen's debut. i struggle how to imagine how it could have gone any better. apart from englands overall loss. A bright future for the anticipated 'big shot'

I really dislike Nitini...Not for the way he plays because dont get me wrong he is quality...but he is the most rudest man ever...In 2003 when the windies toured the SA i asked Nitini for his Autograph..he totally brushed me off...I disliked him from that moment onwards.

Seemed a total nutter when I saw him.. Spent the entire match shouting encouragement as twelfth man from the top of the pavilion roof.. I reckon you could have heard him anywhere in town.. Maybe not the most personable SA player, I thought Hall was nice, and Kirsten.. |

I was in a pub in Dublin on Wednesday (hey, I'm in a pub in Dublin most days) watching Liverpool against Juventus. There was a guy on the next stool at the bar giving it the 'We' and 'Us' so as asked him how often he went to Anfield. "Oh, I've never seen them in the flesh." he replied. I told him that I didn't think that he was a 'proper' Liverpool fan, and he asked me why I thought that. "You aren't outside stealing hub-caps." I replied. Which team do you support? I'm sure I can come up with a suitable insult (just kidding)

Never seen them in the flesh?? I can't actually imagine supporting an outfit I didn't see play regularly.
And its hard enough with SA cricket.. Not going to Home Park to see Plymouth would be as unfulfilling as watching "The Games" or something on TV, just passion-less and pointless... |

A 50 last-wicket partnership by me and my mate in the seniours. My first game for them all year... we just got there. We ended up winning by 18 runs. I tell ya, it was a pressure-cooker. I decided to go after this one guy bowling in-swingers, and the adrenalin was rushing and we spanked about 30 from the last three overs.
And then, for the last game of the season, we played a team we needed to beat outright to get into the finals, whilst we needed to rely on the top team to win against the bottom team to get in. Well, we won the game outright on the last ball. We flew back to the clubrooms, I gave my match report, got free booze, walked home and almost got in a fight with some goths on the footwalk. It was about three days later that we found out the top team had thrown their game outright and we finished up 5th by a point.

The best moment of 2005 for me would have to be the progress made by Hamish Marshall, with his innings of 146 and 160 against Australia and Sri Lanka, and Lou Vincent's 224 last week.
