Internet Rendezvous

Has anyone met their partner via the Internet? My 82 year old Grandpa became widowed a few years ago, and then started using the Internet. Anyway, late last year, he came into contact with a lady over the Internet from New Zealand.

Last Friday, she flew out to meet him here in Australia. So far, things are going well. Personally, I'd never fly to another country to hook up with a potential partner that I'd met on the Web. Too weird. What do you think?

Yeah, I've met quite a few people over the net (all from Cricketweb).. And don't regret any of it whatsoever.. The general "online dating" thing isn't exactly my idea of romance though tbh!

I wouldnt fly to another country either!! That is mad..

Was she a bit dissapointed to find an 82 yr old man instead of a 29 yr old single, good looking guy wih huge muscles, deep tan and a phd in molecular physics?

I've met in person all the Trinidadians (and one Tobagonian) whom I've met online, bar one. They all tend to be very attractive females, but I wouldn't call it dating per se.

How big is Trinidad?

Also, why are Trinidad and Tobago stuck together? Is it just because it sounds better that way (for Tobago's sake)?

It's more of historical significance than anything else. There've been rumblings of Tobago wanting a split for a while, but the plain fact is that both islands enjoy a symbiotic relationship. Trinidad provides manufactured products and products of industry and Tobago is a leading tourist destination.

Tobago does have it's own local government though. Trinidad and Tobago has a government too, so it's safe to say the THA (Tobago House of Assembly) is a step below the T&T government.

1.2 million at my last check.

My cousing married someone he met over the internet - i think he met her once before they tied the knot. It didn't last, i saw her once, she had to go through doorways sideways. He nows lives somewhere in the US (green card one thing he did get out of the marriage) and is into spraying the desert with machine gun bullets - i've not seen him for a few years, but i've come to the conclusion he's probably a lot like Cletus from the Simpson's these days.

Let that be a warning to ya'll
