when i have toast, i'll always cook 4 pieces. two of which i have with peanut butter, one with vegemite and one with homemade plum jam.

^ that works too.. but put butter on the bread first and then sugar so it sticks onto the butter.. then fry it very lightly in the pan so the sugar melts onto the butter until its a very light brown colour..
