Weird festivals/traditions from your country

It was Holi yesterday, Dhuleti today.

Holi is a Hindu Spring annual festival. It takes place over two days around late March or early April as per the Hindu calendar. On first day, a bonfire is lit at night to signify the burning of Holika. On the second day, known as Rangapanchami or Dhulandi, people go around throwing colours at each other and meet and have fun. A special drink called thandai or bhang is also consumed sometimes, which actually contains small amounts of marijuana to make the festival more enjoyable. People invite each other to their houses for feasts and celebrations.

I went for the pooja for Holi, just didn't celebrate Dhuleti. Haven't for the past 3-4 years. Not sure why. Just don't like it anymore. It's not the same these days. It's supposed to be played with "gulaal" rather than dyes, mud or cow dung!

I havent played it for 2 years too now.

guess I will next year. And yes with gulal. Thats the right way to play.
