    Places of the world

There are so many places in the world. It will be impossible to visit all of them.

This thread can help know more about some of the places.

Fill in info about the place you come from or visited with some pics if possible.

I provide Calcutta, now known as Kolkata, my birthplace.

Wikipedia provides very good info on the place.

More can be asked from me ofcourse. Among cricket fans, Calcutta is most famous for the Eden Gardens ofcourse.

Seeing as I don't have any of my own digital photos from SA, I'll put the next best place down..

    My home, Somerset!

    1) Sunset in Taunton

    2) Barren country near my house

    3) The coastline

    4) Looking over my vast expanses of land, including Jeeves' hut in the foreground.. He really should be out watering the croquet lawn

Engelberg in Switzerland is heaven on earth.

It's the base from which one can catch the cable car to the famous Mount Titlis.

The Gold Coast, 6th largest city in Australia, recently passed 500,000 people, widely growing at a rapid rate, will eventually be home to the largest residential apartment building in the world (that's what they tell us), good weather all year around, and good surf, if your into that.

Coral Island, Pattaya, Thailand. Went there on 27th December, the day after Tsunami struck. Pattaya was spared because of it's unique location. There are transparent base boats available there, in which you can go upto a distance in the ocean to check out the corals.

I'm not too dissimilar a batsman to Bradman.
Both of us have batting averages below 100.
