    Horror

I left my Uni at 1 today, so that I could be back home by 2, and watch about 3 hours of cricket. Usually, I leave at 4 by the bus that we've organized for those who want to commute from Baroda to the Uni in Vidyanagar. Instead, I caught a 1.20 train today, which is supposed to reach Baroda at 2.40. Yes, quite a long time since it's a local train - stops everywhere.

Instead, I reached home at 4.45. It has gotta be the worst train ever in the history of railways. Almost 3 and a half hours for a journey as long as only 40 kms. And it's not like it stopped at any station for longer than 5 minutes. It actually moved that slow.

Plus, it also is, without doubt, the dirtiest train ever. I mean, which train has such ridiculous facilities that the sink outside the toilet leaks so much that the entire bogey is full of water, which attracts more mosquitoes than there are passengers in the compartment.

Well, the Underground in London seems to work smoothly every time I'm there.

Although yes, the road traffic is very very annoying in London.

Well, stop me if I've told this story before, but back when I was around my late teens/early 20's, I used to sleep around four hours a night. So whenever I'd take the train home from work, I'd usually fall asleep. Once I did this, and landed in the guy next to me's lap. Only I didn't wake up 'till some time later (I'm not sure how long). Anyhow, when I woke up, I kind of rubbed my face into his groin before I realised where I was, and then I looked up, and he was just kinda staring forward, with this blank look on his face, like he just had absolutely no idea how to react to my head landing in his lap (it's possible that he was concentrating really fiercely on not getting an erection).

It was extremely embarrassing, I just apologised profusely and got off the train immediately - unfortunately it was about three stations before I was supposed to get off, but I didn't want to just sit there next to him for another ten minutes or so while he quivered and twitched.

Unless I'm in a real rush I love a drawn-out journey... travelling is something I enjoy beyond almost anything else, especially a day\night journey.
    Sympathies for PopaSud, though.

I pity those who were going to Bombay by that train. If it took three and a half hours for the 40 kms, I wonder whether it'd have still reached the final destitation, which is 400+ kms.
