How did you ask your girlfriend out?

Always been interested to know this.

TBH, I didn't have to go through all the trouble of running after her, but that's maybe it was a mutual thing. It happened over a period of a couple of months that we realized that we like each other and should go out.

Yes, yes, I'm in a tad romantic mood. Happens when one's approaching two years with the girlfriend.

Last time I asked a girl out was, er, 6 years, 3 months and a bit ago.
Basically said "Jo, will you go out with me?"
Next girlfriend I never really asked out, it just sort of... happened. And carried-on happening. For 2-and-a-half years.
And since then, well... no asking-out to speak of.

Our eyes met across a crowded room; I walked over to her, took her in my arms & said "You can't fight chemistry, baby". Then I kissed her full on the mouth, gently at first but with increasing passion.

Nah, not really!

Just sorta happened. My mate met her thru his work (both in sales then), he fancied her but she didn't fancy him (God knows I'm no adonis, but I'm Brad Pitt compared to him!), she came to see him, we met & clicked.

He wasn't too happy, but he had a GF by then so really had no complaints.

Just sort of happened the last time.. I reckon it clicked about halfway through "The Matrix Reloaded" (thank you Keanu Reeves)..

To be fair I've never "Asked a girl out".. I'd never know when and what exactly it means.. After all, you can date someone without being an item, and you can be an item with someone you don't date,,
