I wouldnt be bragging about giving the world scribe, unless youre proud of mediocre, run of the mill rappers... One person makes neew zealand a powerhouse in the music circles i see?

Scribe is pretty cool... very cool, one might say.
'Copperfield,' said Mr. Micawber, 'farewell! Every happiness and prosperity! If, in the progress of revolving years, I could persuade myself that my blighted destiny had been a warning to you, I should feel that I had not occupied another man's place in existence altogether in vain.

    Australia doesn't need hip hop.

John Farnham, Inxs, Cold Chisel, Johnny Diesel, Kylie Minogue (a bad example but couldnt leave her out), Powderfinger, Jet, The Living End and so many more talented artists have come out of this land.

Shouldn't they, in fact, be applauded for doing nothing for hip-hop?

I'll maintain again Australia doesn't need Hip Hop.

We can maintain our Rock and Pop culture and it will still sell.

    John Farnham.
I grew out of his music at age 10 - enough said.

    Inxs,
They were going great guns until that unfortunate auto-erotic asphyxiation incident...

    Cold Chisel
    Very Australian-centric.

    Johnny Diesel
    Talent? Oh dear

    Kylie Minogue
The "Singing Budgie"? Who next? Craig McLachlan?

    Powderfinger
I'll give ya that one - genuinely good music

    Jet,
    Nothing new there

    The Living End
From what I've heard, they're pretty good.

Those were just 'rough' top of my head examples Voltman. Im not one for the Australian music scene and generally I think its pretty poor, but I just had to combat the Scribe thing with something.
I'll still maintain Australia doesn't really need hip hop.

    That's fine, masterblaster - and I'd agree Australia doesn't need hip-hop.

I was waiting for you to use Crowded House or the Finn brothers and I was going to pounce.
