    Learning Guitar

I've just started learning guitar from scratch. Basically the only song I can play(take the word play very lightly) is the White Stripes-7 Nation Army.

If anyone would be able to tell me how to play a fairly easy song, or knows a good site please tell me.

Play Smoke On The Water and I'll kill you.

    too right.

I keep seeing guitars quite cheap on the internet, a bit tempted to buy one some time and try to learn. Would be cool.

I haven't played in ages. Mind you, I was never that crash hot at it. It certainly is good to be able to play some music though.

I'll probably turn into one of those middle-aged "I'll churn out a few chords when I want to make an attempt at impressing everyone at a dinner-party" losers who initially hide behind the "Aww, shucks I couldn't" fašade before 'giving in to the pressure'.. Hope there are none reading this.

Lol, very true. Well at least you can play more than me. If I ever have that impulse and buy a guitar, i'll be one of those losers looking up tabs on the Internet because I can't read sheet music.

Makes me wish I had a voice, or I could play the guitar, or I could play piano.

I'd give my guitars away to be able to sing... Now that's a skill.

Oh, and by guitars, I meant balls.

Every time I listen to Elton John, George Michael, Freddie Mercury, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, whoever, it just makes me realise that MAN, singing is a true art form and something I could never do.

I'd love to be able to sing and I'd probably score heaps more points with the ladies as well.

    *Sigh*

God didn't give me a great voice.

I think you can learn, Sangrah.

Like him or not, Robbie Williams does have an awesome voice...

Yeah agreed, but for me nothing beats the voices of George Michael and Freddie Mercury.

I think its a little late for me to be learning, unless it becomes a HUGE passion of mine, which I doubt will happen.

Im still up for learning the guitar though.

But definitely I wish I had the ability to sing those 'crooner' type songs like Kissing A Fool or Frank Sinatra's Come Fly With Me, would've definitely scored more points with the ladies.

    *another sigh*

Back onto topic, what sort of guitar songs are you interested in Buddhmaster?
More Acoustic/Folk Guitar type stuff I'd guess?
