The act was amended in 2002 to replace the term "Lunatics" with "Mentally ill person", a lawyer friend on twitter tells me.

Term Lunatics still remains on some other statutes though.

For my very first test in law school, for legal methods, we were made to read the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act (MTP) a day in advance and were given situation-based interpretation questions.

It was the only MCQ test I've had so far in college.

So if a pregant Mum gets stapped, she weeps and cries over her baby

Yet, if she kills off the baby, it's a women's right issue?

Have you seen how proud a pregnant Mum is?

The doubtle standards are just jaw dropping

Equating the killing of a baby to women's rights, is sadistic

So what, you can have an abortion because the person you had sex with had depression? Mentally ill person seems a weird replacement

No-one's doing that? An undeveloped foetus isn't a baby in everyone's books.

How proud are expectant parents?

They would regard a stranger killing their unborn baby as no big deal?

As I say, the double standards is just breathtaking

Go stab an expectant mother and see if she regards that as a foetus

Pathetic

Albert being buried under 1000 burning straw men.

Stabbing a woman is wrong in exactly the same way as denying abortion - both involve a violation of her body and her choices.

Oh, and a foetus is a bundle of cells that slowly morphs into a human being. A week 3 foetus is in no way equivalent to a week 15 foetus which in turn is not equivalent to a baby two days out from being born.

Might as well send people to jail for eating potatoes.

You realize most women who are happy when they are pregnant are happy because of the baby that's going to come in 9 months, and not the pregnancy itself, right? I mean pregnancy itself is not easy.

How proud are expectant parents?

Please explain the difference between them killing off their kid, and a stranger doing so

STFU unless you can

Howard has had a few end of work week beers imo. Doesn't hold back when that happens.

Yuk, you're not great at this debating thing hey?

Your plan A and B is to just label things straw men.
