    For the Heavy Music Fans

    Been getting back into my heavier music (especially starting a heavy music band) and I'm interested in people's opinions on the following topics along with my own;

    Angriest song: Rollins Band - Liar
    Weirdest song: System of a Down - Chick'N Stu, Johnny, Bubbles, **** The System
    Most intense: Metallica - Disposable Heroes
    Wackiest: Scatterbrain - Don't Call Me Dude
    Currently listening to: System of a Down - Cigaro

    Also I've been looking at expanding my range a bit as I lost track of the heavy music scene for a while so could do with some recommendations.

    I guess if you translated a few Rammstein songs you'd find some wierd and wacky ones.

    Just heard today that Blindspott drummer Shelton Woolwright is shagging/quite serious with Nicky Watson. Strange combo.

    Thread-dig but I just discovered one of the best heavy bands I've heard in ages (aside form SoaD); Otep. Fantastically heavy music, sort-of grindcore in a way with a female singer (very rare). She does an unbelieveable job going from death-heavy growls (better than a lot of guys do) to angry-chick yelling. Wish there were more like her around. Can't forget the backing band too; really heavy chromatic-style riffs with plenty of variation but without losing their edge.

    Check 'em out;

    Gahh,i hate SOAD,pansy emo metalers.

    For soemthing really intense,try listening to Arch enemy or God forbid.

    Children of bodom are awesome melodic metal so check them out aswell.

    And pantera.

    And Dream Theatre.

    All excellent bands, after listening to them for a while, most other music seems a bit thin in comparison.
