hmm tough choice to decide which option, CC is completely crap, the people that keep me away from there are slowly migrating to OT and have lowered the standard here.

I'd rather rabbit on about cricket than my preferred brand of pet grooming utensils, but I go where the action is.

That is to say, OT is more happening.

And WHEN is Casson's next guide coming out?

I'd say generally I prefer CC (cricket being the reason I joined CW in the first place!), but OT generally seems to have a lighter atmos.

I love cricket, but could live without another "Warne/Murali: whose is longer" thread or another nit-picky, pedantic, half-dozen-posts-in-a-row-from-the-same-user argument between folk over a subject which they've clearly already made their minds up over anyway!

AMEN TO THAT! My thoughts exactly.
What I especially hate is those posts in which the poster picks apart another's post and replies to certain sections of it at a time, quoting in between. I could definately do without those..
That said, I really like the Tour Threads, they are usually the only ones in CC I visit these days.

Personally I don't really like CC, but then again, I don't go there very often. When I do, I find it alright, but there is still alot of ****e posted there. Atleast the ****e on OT can sometimes be funny. Out of every forum, i'd say my favourite is CWXI

I just did a quick search on my posts, and it looks like I've made 381 posts at Off-Topic - which means the remaining 1100 or so are at Cricket Chat (with a few being made at Cricket Humor here and there).

So I put myself in the "I enjoy OT more but spend more time on CC" category. One thing about OT is that it's generally more lighthearted (with the exception of some of the political threads, which I also enjoy for different reasons) and folks are more capable here of having a reasonable debate or conversation that's not so absolutely dogmatic.

Something that's annoyed me about CC in recent times has been the endless provocation of subcontinentals (by a particular member) and some of the more nationalistic-motivated rubbish (one of the good things about OT is the lack of trolling and a$$es). Like Linda, I really enjoy the tour threads in CC.

Well. There are just a few who do that. I also used to find these very irritating so I decided to put these guys on my ignore list. Now I dont see them and scrolling through pages has become better.

Of course, sometimes a whole page consists of umpteen ignored posts and nothing else. . These guys really work at it you know.

I am relatively new in OT and I find it very refreshing. The light hearted ambience and the gentle leg pulling is in stark contrast to some of the 'warfare' of CC. There is a great need for posters on CC to relax and chill a bit. It has some great stuff mixed with a whole lot of really unmentionable stuff.

I realise that this cant be helped and we will get a hetro' crowd but the least we can do is let them be and not engage them and make it worse.

    Just a minor suggestion

I agree with all that Slow Love has said. Would love for it to be a bit different though.

I still spend bulk of my time on CC but dont enjoy it as much anymore

How did you find out where each where made? I'm pretty sure a good 80% of mine would be in here.
